Quick Answer

Aiken Dumpster Rentals rents 12, 15 and 17 yard dump trailers ($285, $345 and $375, each with 3 days and 1 dump) for contractor and light-commercial job sites in Aiken, Graniteville and North Augusta, SC. Why Contractors Rent Dump Trailers for Job Sites

A job site produces debris every day, and a pile that grows beside the work slows everyone down. A contractor dumpster rental in Aiken SC keeps demolition waste, offcuts and packaging in one place so the crew can keep working. Our trailers are sized for residential and light-commercial projects, which suits the kind of work most local remodelers, flippers and property managers do.

This guide covers what a construction dumpster in Aiken SC can hold, how to choose between our three sizes, and what to check before the first load goes in. Everything here follows our current sizes, pricing and material rules.

About Contractor Pricing

Contractors rent on the same published sizes, prices and rules as everyone else. We do not advertise contractor discounts or special rates on this site. If you run several jobs and want to talk about scheduling, call (803) 679-8899.

What Construction Debris Can Go in the Dumpster

Here is how typical job-site materials fall into our three categories:

Job-Site MaterialStatusWhat to Know
DrywallAcceptedHeavier than it looks when wet or in large quantity, so watch the weight.
Lumber, framing, subflooring, trimAcceptedBulky but relatively light. Good for filling space.
Flooring, carpet and paddingAcceptedCarpet and padding are bulky; hard flooring adds weight quickly.
Windows, doors, siding, insulationAcceptedNo special placement or fee.
Scrap metal, pipes, bracketsAcceptedKeep sharp pieces inside the trailer.
Roof shinglesSpecial handlingOnly up to one-half of the dumpster's capacity by volume. Weight overages still apply.
MattressesSpecial handlingPlaced inside, $10 each in Aiken County, $25 each outside.
Large appliances, A/C and HVAC unitsSpecial handlingPlaced beside the dumpster, $25 each.
Tires and electronicsSpecial handlingPlaced beside the dumpster, $10 each.
Concrete, brick, asphalt, rockProhibitedHeavy masonry is never accepted.
Soil, dirt, clay, fill, gravelProhibitedEarthen material is not accepted.

The complete lists are on our materials rules page and in our guide to what you can put in a dumpster rental in Aiken SC. Those are the pages to trust if anything you read elsewhere differs.

Drywall, Flooring and Lumber

These make up most remodel loads. Lumber and trim take up space but weigh little, while drywall and hard flooring are the opposite. Mixing them, with heavy material laid flat on the floor of the trailer and lighter bulky material on top, uses the space well and keeps the weight spread out.

Roofing Debris

Shingles are accepted, but only up to half of the dumpster by volume, and the weight allowance still applies. Fill the other half with lighter material like underlayment and decking. Full details are in our roofing dumpster rental guide.

Turnovers and Cleanouts

Furniture, carpet, cabinets and fixtures are fine. Plan for the special-handling items: mattresses go inside with a fee, while appliances, HVAC units, tires and electronics go beside the trailer. Anything left in the unit that is household garbage, paint or chemicals needs to be handled another way.

Choosing a Dumpster Size for a Job Site

Every rental includes 3 days and 1 dump. Extra days are $25 per day and extra weight is $50 per ton.

SizeBox DimensionsBase PriceIncluded Weight
12 yard12 x 7 x 4 ft$2852 tons
15 yard14 x 7 x 4 ft$3452.5 tons
17 yard16 x 7 x 4 ft$3753 tons
  • 12 yard: a good fit for smaller scopes such as a single bathroom, a flooring replacement or a small unit cleanout, where the included 2 tons is likely enough.
  • 15 yard: a middle option for larger room remodels or mixed demolition, with 2.5 tons included.
  • 17 yard: the most space and the highest included weight (3 tons), suited to bigger gut jobs or whole-property cleanouts.
Think Weight, Not Just Space

Drywall, tile, hard flooring and shingles can hit the included tonnage before the trailer looks full. Your size choice should account for both. If your scope is borderline between two sizes, the larger one gives more room and more included weight.

These are starting points, not guarantees. Actual debris volume and weight vary by project. Compare options on the sizes and pricing page, run the Find My Dumpster tool, read the dumpster size guide, or see the cost guide for how charges add up.

Long Jobs: Extra Days and Swaps

If the job runs past 3 days, extra days are $25 each. If the trailer fills before the work is done, a swap is available Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, at the base rate for your size minus 10%. A new 3-day period begins at the swap. Call when the trailer is getting full so the swap can be scheduled.

The Driveway-Safe Advantage on Job Sites

Many remodels and turnovers happen at occupied homes or finished properties, where a client's driveway is part of the job. Our rubber-wheeled dump trailers and careful placement are designed to minimize the risk of driveway damage compared with traditional roll-off containers. A loaded trailer is still heavy, so we ask about soft or cracked pavement, grass and tight access when you book.

  • Overhead clearance: at least 12 feet for delivery and pickup. Check branches and wires.
  • Space: the box length plus about 3 feet for the tongue. A 14 ft box needs roughly 17 ft.
  • Placement near the work: a spot close to the door or debris chute saves your crew steps.

Do not move the trailer after delivery. Call us if it needs repositioning. Read more in why driveway-safe dumpster rentals matter in Aiken SC.

Job-Site Checklist Before You Book

  • Confirm who is ordering and who is responsible for what goes in, especially if the property owner and the contractor are different people.
  • Brief the crew on the prohibited list, the shingle half-capacity rule and the beside-the-dumpster items.
  • Keep concrete, dirt, paint and liquids out. Plan separate disposal for them.
  • Check access for clearance, space and ground conditions.
  • Plan the 3-day window around your schedule, or plan a weekday swap.
  • Call first at (803) 679-8899 if you are unsure about any material.

Contractor Dumpster Rental FAQs

Do you offer contractor dumpster rental in Aiken SC?

Yes. We rent 12, 15 and 17 yard dump trailers for residential and light-commercial projects in Aiken, Graniteville and North Augusta, SC, and contractors use the same sizes, pricing and rules as everyone else. We do not publish separate contractor rates; call (803) 679-8899 to talk through scheduling.

What construction debris can go in a job-site dumpster?

Drywall, wood framing, flooring, subflooring, windows, doors, trim, siding, insulation, carpet and padding, and scrap metal are accepted. Roof shingles are accepted only up to one-half of the dumpster's capacity by volume.

What can't go in a construction dumpster?

Concrete, brick and other heavy masonry, soil and fill dirt, liquids and paint, solvents, asbestos, logs and stumps, hazardous chemicals, lithium-ion batteries, and household garbage are all prohibited.

What size dumpster does a remodel need?

It depends on the scope and the weight of the materials. We offer 12 yard (2 tons included), 15 yard (2.5 tons) and 17 yard (3 tons). Heavy materials like shingles, tile and flooring reach the weight limit before the trailer looks full, so weight matters as much as space.

What if a job-site load goes over the included weight?

Loads are weighed at the disposal facility. Weight over the included tons is billed at $50 per ton.

Can I swap a full dumpster during a long job?

Yes. A swap is available Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, at the base rate for your size minus 10%, and a new 3-day rental period begins at the swap.

Do you serve job sites outside Aiken?

We serve Aiken, Graniteville and North Augusta, SC.
